Approach to Healing
Our Services
At Deep Wells Healing Arts, we incorporate yoga, somatic counseling and coaching, expressive and creative arts, and contemplative prayer.
Counseling & Coaching
Counseling and Coaching with Victoria is holistic, solution-focused and mindfulness-based. Considered a somatic psychotherapist, Victoria incorporates body-based techniques and modalities into her work, including Brainspotting, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Sandplay Therapy, therapeutic movement techniques and creative arts. For those seeking spiritual or soul work, methods such as Sozo and Holy Listening Prayer may also be employed, based on preference and goals. Blending these tools has been a beautiful and intentional aspect of Victoria’s work. Those who seek her services often are longing for this unique, deeper aspect on their journey into newness and freedom.
Yoga
Trauma Sensitive Yoga
Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY) is gentle and mindfulness-based. TSY focuses on developing a better capacity to cope, releasing stored tension, reducing hyperarousal, growing in body awareness, and ultimately creating a greater sense of wellness, wholeness and connection to body, soul and spirit. Victoria’s hope with teaching TSY is to help everyone move closer to being at “home” within their own bodies.
Yoga Faith
Coming to your mat can be a deeply powerful, experiential and - yes! - even spiritual practice. Yoga Faith breathes life into our practice as we encounter the Ruach of God - His breath, His Spirit, in our own living being. Yoga Faith incorporates the mindful flow of a typical yoga class, along with faith-based meditation, sacred readings, prayer, and ultimately a focus of deeply connecting with the One who gives us the gifts of movement, breath and life.
Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) Trait
As a Highly Sensitive Person, Victoria finds joy in journeying alongside other highly sensitive people to help them discover how their sensitivity can be a strength, asset and delight in life — especially when day-to-day living can seem overwhelming. Contemplative in nature, she seeks to both live and share how to live a life devoted to seeking “the Secret Place” — the inner sanctuary where we encounter God.
